Job summary

Ed Herrington Inc., a family-owned building supply company, is seeking a full-time Yard Worker for daytime hours in Lakeville, CT. You will greet customers, verify invoices, assist with loading, and help maintain yard inventory and safety.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, processing delivery orders, and supporting inventory counting. High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months related experience acceptable; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or related experience/training.
• Experience not required or may be substituted by up to 3 months of related work.
• Willingness to operate forklift and assist in loading/docking materials.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at yard warehousing areas.
• Review invoice tickets to ensure correct materials.
• Assist customers to load purchased materials into their vehicle.
• Direct customers to pickup stations to complete orders.
• Process invoice tickets as prescribed.
• Receive and prepare delivery orders for loading onto trucks.
• Participate in inventory counts and resolve inventory issues.
