Job summary

Ed Herrington Inc. is seeking a full-time Yard Worker in Lakeville, CT, to support daily yard operations from 7a–4p, with alternating Saturdays 7a–1p. You will greet customers, verify materials, load items, and assist with inventory and safety.

The role involves operating forklifts and ensuring a clean, safe workspace. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training considered.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work in a fast-paced yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at yard warehousing areas and assist with their orders.
• Review invoice tickets to ensure correct materials are selected.
• Help load purchased materials into customers' vehicles.
• Direct customers to pickup stations to complete orders.
• Operate powered industrial trucks for loading/moving materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report maintenance needs.
• Assist inventory counting and address defective or missing items.
• Participate in training and work with team to meet goals.
