Staffmark Group is hiring for a Yard Hostler in Desoto, TX. The position offers a daily yard run with home daily schedule and no-touch freight, focusing on moving trailers and containers safely and efficiently.

You will operate a Yard Goat, move equipment within the yard, and work with onboard computer systems in a busy yard environment. 22+ years old, valid license, and FMCSA clearinghouse enrollment are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of yard hostling experience (within the past 3 years)
• Valid license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)

Responsibilities

• Operate a Yard Goat/Yard Hostler with an automatic transmission.
• Move containers and 53 trailers within the yard.
• No touch freight.
• No unloading.
• Move trailers/containers between the dock door and yard locations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Exit the yard mule and chock rear trailer wheels during loading operations.
• Verify trailers are clear before moving equipment.
• Move approximately 30-50 trailers/containers per shift.
• Pulling containers from dock doors, relocating trailers within the yard, frequent backing, and following all customer safety procedures
• Must be comfortable using onboard computer systems and working independently in a busy yard environment

Available Shifts:

• Sunday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Tuesday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Sunday - Wednesday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
• Thursday - Saturday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
