Job summary

Up-North Plastics is seeking a Yard Hopper at its Cottage Grove, MN location. The role runs on a 7AM-3PM Mon-Fri schedule. You will operate a Yard Jockey Truck, a Forklift, inventory control software, and RF scanners to manage trailers and materials within the facility.

The starting pay is $19.00-$22.00 per hour with competitive benefits including Medical/Dental, paid vacations and holidays, ESST, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience driving commercial trucks or yard mules.
• A current US Driver's license (CDL not required).
• Ability to handle trailers quickly in tight spaces.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Relocate, dock, and transport trailers within the facility.
• Unload materials from trailers, inventory materials, and pick materials.
• Record information accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
• Operate propane-powered sit-down forklifts and Yard Jockey as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Overview

Up-North Plastics, a leading manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a Yard Hopper at its Cottage Grove, MN location. The Yard Hopper works on a 7AM-3PM Mon-Fri Schedule. A successful candidate must be able to operate a Yard Jockey Truck, a Forklift, inventory control software, and RF scanners.

***STARTING PAY OF $19.00-$22.00***

Responsibilities

Yard Hoppers at Up North Plastics are responsible for relocating, docking, and transporting trailers within our manufacturing facility. They are also responsible for unloading materials from trailers, inventorying materials, and picking materials. They must be able to keep up with a fast paced production environment while accurately recording information. This position uses propane, sit-down forklifts to help load and unload trailers as well as a Yard Jockey to move around trailers. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
