Job summary

PSS Industrial Group in Midland, TX is seeking a Yard/Equipment Clerk to maintain the yard and ensure rental equipment is prepared for dispatch and serviced upon return.

Responsibilities include unloading and organizing inventory, fueling and moving equipment, keeping the yard tidy and safe, pressure washing gear, and supporting management with equipment-related tasks. Forklift experience preferred; teamwork and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience or more preferred.
• Experience operating forklift or heavy equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Unload, check in, and organize inventory of machines in the yard.
• Fuel, operate, and move equipment as needed within the yard.
• Maintain an orderly, safe yard free of debris and ensure equipment is rent-ready.
• Pressure wash equipment to prepare it for rental and service upon return.
• Assist with other equipment-related tasks as requested by management.

SUMMARY: Maintains upkeep of the yard and equipment to ensure smooth operations of our rental business. Primary objective will be to assist and perform yard related duties to ensure equipment is ready to go out and as it returns ready to be check and serviced.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unloads new, used, and rental machines, while maintaining and organizing inventory of equipment.
• Checks in, fuels, operates, and moves equipment in the yard.
• Maintains an orderly yard free of debris, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods and equipment.
• Pressure washes equipment to ensure it is rent ready.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Assist the company is any other items that is request related to our equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• One to two years related experience.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and/or other heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Acute attention to detail, positive attitude.
• Must be able to work well in a team atmosphere.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm, and the capability to multitask.
