Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Front Royal, VA is seeking a Yard/Gate Associate to verify inbound and outbound traffic and operate SWMS and TMS. The role supports food safety by checking seal integrity, temperature and proper trailer matching, while directing carriers and visitors to designated areas.

The ideal candidate will monitor yard activity, maintain records in SWMS, and communicate live outbound status via Teams, ensuring safety and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must have basic math and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the company's insurability standards.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Verify inbound/outbound trailers for damage and seal integrity.
• Direct carriers and visitors to proper locations; maintain safe, productive environment.
• Maintain yard data using SWMS and communicate with Teams for live outbound status.
• Coordinate dock doors and assign live outbound shipment statuses.
• Operate company vehicle safely on premises and perform yard checks.
