Job summary

County Materials in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Forklift Operator - Yard Team member to support daily plant and yard operations. You will handle materials, load/unload, ensure inventory accuracy, and help manage truck traffic while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role emphasizes operating yard equipment safely, working with plant operators and drivers, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 0-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with construction, concrete, or industrial operations is a plus.
• Understanding of basic material handling and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to load, stack, and retrieve materials and supplies.
• Assist with aggregate, cement, and material handling.
• Monitor, document, and maintain inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and equipment area.
• Guide truck traffic and support safe movement of vehicles.
• Follow OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
