Job summary

Pennex Aluminum Company is seeking a Yard Helper at our Greenville, PA location to assist in loading and unloading aluminum, scrap, billets and logs. The role requires forklift experience, the ability to follow safety rules, and basic math for material handling.

The position moves to night shift after training, offering a $1.50/hour night differential. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening and work legally in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid forklift operator’s license and have prior forklift experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic safety and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Keeps a record of materials received and used.
• Inspects incoming materials and verifies bills of lading and pack slips.
• Uses forklift, loads log and billet onto trailers and unloads prime, dealer scrap and other materials received from outside suppliers.
• Establishes or adjusts work activities to meet production schedules.
• Assists and performs the task involved in dumping trailers loaded with scrap.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
