Job summary

ASCO Equipment is seeking a Yard Specialist to perform a variety of manual tasks in the yard, supporting the Branch operation. You will help greet customers, assist with inquiries, and support the Rental, Parts, and Service departments as needed. Occasional deliveries may be required by Branch personnel.

The role emphasizes safety, orderliness, and reliable equipment checks before rental. You will work with the team to ensure equipment is rent-ready, properly tagged, and moved to storage after

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented and well organized; able to work under pressure.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with a diverse customer base.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in the yard.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the yard.
• Assist Rental, Parts, and Service Departments as needed.
• Greet customers in the yard and direct them to offices or unloading areas.
• Assist delivery drivers with loading/unloading equipment.
• Wash and/or perform light maintenance on equipment.
• Perform final inspection of equipment before rental, ensuring rent-ready condition.
