Job summary

Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking a part-time Yard Duty Supervisor in Rancho Cordova. You will supervise pupils during lunch and recess under the supervision of the principal or designee. This position is hourly and works 3.25 hours per day, five days a week, with compensation of $18.93 per hour.

The district emphasizes safe, welcoming environments and opportunities to grow professionally. Applicants with prior supervision of children and a high school equivalency are encouraged

• Physical requirements: ability to stand, run, walk, and communicate with students.

Job Description:Yard Duty Supervisor Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision of the school principal or designee, supervise pupils during the eating period and free-day period at noon recess. FCUSD is seeking to build a team that is representative of our student body and community. Diverse individuals are encouraged to apply.

Distinguishing Characteristics Positions and employees in this class are exempt from the regular classified service. Individuals are employed as needed on a parttime hourly basis, for short working hours on school days only. These employees do not attain permanency; receive step increases orother fringe benefits. They are paid on the variable payroll.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience:Supervision of children through youth or service organizations such as scouts, church school classes,recreational groups, etc., is desirable. Education:Equivalent to high school education.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Vision to observe students; ability to stand for extended periods of time, running, walking, stooping, and bending; and hearing and speaking to exchange information.
HAZARDS:Adverse weather conditions, and potential physical hazards involved in intervening in antisocial behavior.

• Complete district Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment, etc.
