Job summary

OnTrac in Commerce, CA is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to safely position and maneuver trailers at the dock.

The role requires at least 1 year of driving experience, a valid license, and the ability to pass screenings; work Sundays through Thursdays, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment per Safety Program
• Pre-trip and inspect each trailer for DOT compliance
• Position trailers on the dock with a yard switcher tractor
• Switch trailers during daily sort and hook up sets of trailers for line hauls
• Communicate trailer moves clearly with operations management
