Job summary

Kenco Logistics is hiring a Yard Driver in Columbia, SC. You will safely handle trailer movements, spot trailers at docks, and operate a yard spotter and forklift when needed.

The role requires attention to safety, reliability, and timely communication with the office to prevent downtime. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license, with prior yard or distribution experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience with trailer spotting in a distribution setting preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus and useful for yard movements.

Responsibilities

• Safely back trailers into dock/yard spaces and secure with chocks.
• Park and organize trailers on the warehouse yard.
• Operate yard spotter and forklift as needed to move shipments.
• Perform daily yard inspections and complete logs (DVIR).
• Coordinate trailer movements with office staff to minimize downtime.
