Job summary

Tyson Foods in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a truck driver for a night schedule (Tue–Fri, 7:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will operate trucks, move trailers in and out of loading docks, and maintain safety and Tyson policies.

The role requires standing, walking, bending, and handling up to 70 lbs, plus driving in varying weather conditions. The job requires 1 year of trucking experience, a valid license with a clean MVR, and the ability to communicate on two-way radios with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Must have a valid driver license (not suspended) and a clean MVR.
• Ability to communicate on two-way radios with dispatchers/management.
• Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach.
• Able to push, pull or carry up to 70 lbs. and use basic weight math.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and move trailers in/out of loading areas safely.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Monitor reefer temperatures, fuel levels, and refrigeration units.
• Fuel tractors and trailers as needed and keep yard tidy.

Job Details

Schedule- Tuesday - Friday 7:00PM to 6:00AM Pay- 20.85/Hr. plus 2.00 per shift premium This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for continuously moving trailers in and out of loading docks. Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach are required. This position works outside in extreme hot and/or cold environments and also requires driving during inclement weather. Inspects and fills out pre-trip inspection and notifies the supervisor of any mechanical issues. Must maintain the cleanliness of assigned yard truck daily. Must make sure that every trailer that is spotted has a jack stand in place and wheels chocked. Must monitor reefer temperatures, fuel levels and the proper operation of the refrigeration units and report any issues to management team. Fuels tractor and trailers as needed.

Requirements

Must have 1 year of truck driving experience. Must have current driver license (cannot be suspended) and a clean MVR. Must be able to communicate on two-way radios with dispatchers/management and other shipping personnel. Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach are required. Must be willing and able to push, pull or carry up to 70lbs. Basic math skills which include understanding weights.
