Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Yard Driver, Non-CDL in Florida to move tractor trailers on company property, including loading docks and parking areas. You will ensure safe, timely trailer movement and maintain professional interactions with customers and coworkers.

The role requires 6+ months driving experience, a valid non-commercial license, and the ability to pass post-offer drug testing and a background check. Benefits are provided from Day 1 with competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months driving experience
• Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime
• Valid non-commercial driver's license
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.
• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.
• Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.
• Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
