Job summary

Red Diamond Inc. is seeking a dependable Yard Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator in Moody, AL to safely move inventory, operate a stand-up forklift, and support shipping/receiving across the property. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient product flow.

You should have a valid Class A CDL, a good driving record, and at least 2 years of yard driving experience. Warehouse and forklift experience is strongly preferred, with a stable attendance history.

Yard Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator

We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused Yard Driver who is equally comfortable working in a warehouse environment. This hybrid role combines safely transporting inventory across the property, operating forklift and warehouse equipment, and supporting shipping/receiving activities.

What You'll Do:

As a Yard Driver / Warehouse Forklift Operator, you'll support both transportation and warehouse operations by:

• Transporting coffee and tea products between Red Diamond facilities on the property throughout the day
• Operating a stand-up forklift to move and store products
• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
• Using handheld and onboard scanners to process inventory transactions
• Following company policies and safety procedures
• Supporting warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient product flow

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class A CDL is required
• A good driving record
• At least 2 years of experience driving in the yard
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Warehouse and forklift experience strongly preferred
• Stable work history and strong attendance record
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of tractor-trailer operation and air brake systems
• Ability to safely operate an 18-wheel commercial vehicle, including in tight spaces
• Knowledge of forklift operating procedures and warehouse practices
• Basic reading, math, and documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensures products and materials are handled and stored according to SQF Code 11.4.1 Staff Engaged in Food Handling and Processing Operations and Code 11.6.1 Receipt, Storage, and Handling of Goods.
• Ensures shipping and receiving procedures follow SQF Code 11.6.5 Loading, Transport, and Unloading Practices.
