Job summary

Forde Recruitments’ client, a leading automotive organisation, is seeking dedicated Auction Drivers to join Vehicle Auction sites across the UK. Your role as a Yard Driver involves moving vehicles around the site, requiring long periods of walking and high physical fitness.

Candidates must have 5+ years of driving licence, be over 25, with ≤6 points, and demonstrate strong time management and safety compliance. DBS check may be required. Pay rate: £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence held for a minimum of 5 years.
• Applicants must be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
• Maximum of 6 points on licence for minor offences (No DR10 endorsements).
• Good level of physical fitness is necessary to perform the tasks.
• Ability to manage time and adhere to schedules, contributing to smooth operations.
• Committed to safety protocols and wearing provided safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles within the yard and site, relocating them as required.
• Maintain safe walking routes and adhere to site safety rules.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth operations of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a Yard Driver, your primary responsibility will be efficiently moving vehicles within the expansive site, relocating them from one location to another. It is important to note that this role involves significant walking throughout the day, covering long distances. Therefore, a high level of physical fitness is essential.

While working in the yard, you will be required to always wear safety boots and a high-visibility vest.
