Job summary

TopSide Marinas is seeking a Yard Crew member. You will operate lift trucks and marine equipment, perform light carpentry and painting, and move and launch boats while meeting safety and customer service standards.

The role requires 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, with seasonal schedule changes at management discretion. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and a valid driver's license; maintenance/repair experience is preferred.

• Move and launch boats, checking and securing boats moored at the docks
• Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools

The Yard Crew’s responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company performance and safety requirements. This position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day. Seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate lift trucks, hydraulic trailers, travel lift hoist, arial lift, and work boat
• Perform minor carpentry and painting on an as-needed basis
• Perform some mechanical repairs on company equipment
• Move and launch boats, checking and safely securing boats moored at the docks
• Proficiency in using hand tools and small power tools
• Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills and abilities
• Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude
• High school diploma required
• Valid drivers license required
• Experience in the performance of jobs related to maintenance and repair is preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (see below)
• Must be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely manner
• Strong work ethic and personal commitment
• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goals
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, rain, cold or snow
• Ability to work comfortably around water
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
• Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, crawl, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
