Job summary

Mead Lumber Company is hiring a Yard Associate in Butte, MT to receive, stock, label, and track materials in the yard and to load customer orders. You will help unload and load trucks, organize stock, and ensure accurate returns while following safety policies.

The role requires working in the elements, physical ability to lift 80+ pounds, and weekend availability. Esprit d'équipe and excellent customer service are valued as the company operates ESOP and emphasizes customer focus.

Qualifications

• Union membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Unload and load trucks and/or customers accurately according to invoices.
• Organize, label, and store materials according to protocols.
• Safely operate equipment and follow company policies.
• Record all merchandise returns on a credit memo, place items in return area, and return to vendor.
• Listen to and assist customers.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Participate in company functions and meetings.

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of a Yard Associate is to receive, stock, label, and track materials entering and exiting the yard as well as loading customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Unload and load trucks and/or customers accurately in accordance to invoices.
• Organize, label, and store materials in accordance with protocols.
• Safely operate equipment and follow company policies.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo, put materials in designated return area, and ensure return to vendor.
• Listen to and assist customers.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Participate in company functions and meetings.
