Southwestern Equipment in Heath, OH is seeking a Yard Associate to manage yard operations, keep machines clean and ready for customers, and support service and parts teams. The role involves outdoor work, equipment movement, and ensuring safety and organization across the yard.

You will inspect equipment, load/unload trucks, assist with parts inventory, and help with demonstrations. Prior heavy equipment experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with power or pressure washing equipment preferred.
• Basic understanding of DOT regulations.
• Ability to follow OSHA safety standards and EPA regulations.
• Previous experience in construction, equipment rental, or a similar hands-on environment is a plus.

What You'll Do

As a Yard Associate, you'll help keep our daily operations moving by managing equipment, maintaining the yard, and supporting our service and parts teams. Your work will help ensure our customers receive equipment that's ready to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage equipment coming in and out of the yard, including accurately completing Delivery/Pickup Orders (DPO).

• Supporting efficient day-to-day yard operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, and kneeling.

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to work around dirt, dust, fumes, and other conditions common in an equipment yard.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating, cleaning, and inspecting equipment.
