Big C Lumber in Three Oaks, MI is seeking a Yard and Warehouse person. This full-time, day shift position provides benefits and focuses on assisting customers and drivers, receiving and preparing material for shipment.

Key duties include unloading vehicles, ensuring material accuracy, and maintaining yard safety and cleanliness. Training is available; no experience is required for this entry role, with opportunities to advance and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and drivers and receive/prepare material for shipment.
• Unload vehicles and check material accuracy.
• Use safety equipment and maintain yard cleanliness.
• Check vehicles for issues and perform forklift inspections.
• Properly store and arrange inventory and materials.
• Communicate clearly with staff, management, customers, and suppliers.
• Support other employees and perform special assignments from the Operations Manager.
• Promote safety and adhere to all regulations.

Big C Lumber in Three Oaks, MI is seeking a Yard and Warehouse person. This is a full time, day shift position with benefits. This person will provide assistance to customers and drivers, and receive and prepare material for shipment.

• #1 priority is to ensure customer satisfaction while never compromising safety
• Assist with ensuring yard is kept clean always
• Unload vehicles and check for material accuracy
• Use all required safety equipment
• Assist other employees as needed
• Put returns away
• Check vehicles for any problems; including daily forklift inspections
• Proper arrangement of material on trucks
• Proper storage of inventory
• Communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers
• Perform any special assignment/projects as required by the Operations Manager
• Asset preservation
• Adherence to all safety and fire regulations and anti-theft procedures
• Promote a positive image of BIG C

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic math skills
• Ability to become Forklift Certified
• Ability to lift, carry, and move 80# to specified areas, in rough terrain, up/down steps
• Ability to withstand exposure to harsh weather conditions
• Ability to coordinate as well as work in a team
• Ability to adapt to in-house software
