Job summary

The Build Partners, LLC in Upper Marlboro, MD is looking for a well-organized individual to manage company equipment for construction projects. This fully onsite role requires a detail-oriented person who will ensure accurate tracking and maintenance of logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain Bill of Ladings into the company’s inventory system.
  • Assist/maintain the schedule of incoming equipment orders and equipment inventory.
  • Apply for hauling permits as needed to move equipment between states.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicle fleet.
  • Identify and report any unusual repair requests or activity relating to equipment, vehicles, or yard.

About You:

This role is for a well‑organized and detail‑oriented individual ready to support a multi‑state construction business like our clients through careful management and oversight of company equipment. Experience working in logistics or construction is preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately enter and maintain Bill of Ladings into the company’s inventory system
  • Assist/maintain the schedule of incoming equipment orders and equipment inventory.

  • Tools (Manual and Power)
  • Tower Cranes
  • Apply for hauling permits as needed to move equipment between states
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all paperwork concerning any movement of equipment
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed on equipment and vehicle fleet
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicle fleet
  • Ensure all required maintenance on equipment and vehicles is performed on time
  • Track current repair status (including repair completion dates) of all equipment and vehicles
  • Maintain upcoming maintenance and repair cost schedules and report to Upper Management regularly
  • Identify and report any unusual repair requests or activity relating to equipment, vehicles, or yard
  • Record/track purchases and ordering of parts as needed for equipment repairs
  • Solicit pricing proposals where required
  • Properly account for equipment that is to be charged to specific projects
  • Prepare and/or respond to routine reports using Excel, Word, or other software as requested
  • Maintain and set up filing systems, photocopy/scan documents as requested/required
  • Any other administrative duties as requested/required

This position is a fully onsite position at our central office in Upper Marlboro, MD. This work primarily takes place indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Exposure to outdoor elements/weather conditions may be encountered when moving between trailers/in the yard itself.

Physical Requirements

The ability to communicate orally in person and over devices with peers, vendors, contractors, clients, and construction workers is crucial. Regular use of mobile devices (talking or texting) and email for communication is essential and required for everyday tasks. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare, inspect, or review documents. A pre‑employment drug test is required for all personnel. Daily job duties and responsibilities require the ability to: remain in a stationary position, move about an office/yard site effectively and frequently. Physical requirements include: the ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs on occasion, regular exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force, occasional heavy lifting (30+ lb. / 13.6+ kg), and good manual dexterity for use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).
