About the Role

PORT 32/Acme Marinas is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Project Manager based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of yacht and vessel repair and refit projects from start to finish. This includes developing and managing schedules, ensuring projects stay on track, coordinating logistics, and maintaining clear communication across internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

This role plays a key part in aligning shipyard activities and resources to deliver projects in a cost‑effective and efficient manner, while maintaining timelines and minimizing disruption to other ongoing operations. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results that meet both company standards and client expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
  • Create project schedules and ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress to be shared with clients in addition to other stakeholders
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Responsible for collaboration and communication with various teams as needed
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report progress, including any changes made to plans and production and elevate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders including third parties/vendors
  • Perform risk assessment to minimize and manage project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Delegate project tasks based on skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long‑term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Review billing and invoices for accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years relevant trade experience within the marine industry OR High School diploma with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant trade experience within the marine industry.
