Hinckley Yachts seeks a skilled Carpenter to build custom interior components for Hinckley boats in a climate-controlled indoor shop. The ideal candidate has marine joinery experience, strong attention to detail, and can read technical drawings to fabricate cabinetry, bulkheads, and furniture that reflect Hinckley’s signature elegance.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months carpentry experience, plus 2 years boatbuilding experience.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Construct and install custom interior components. Work with exotic woods, veneers, laminates, and composite materials.
• Transfer dimensions to marine plywood and other materials; read blueprints and position parts.
• Perform finishing work: sanding, staining, varnishing, polishing to meet standards.
• Knowledge of woodworking joints (scarf, sill splice, lap, finger, dovetail); use epoxies and vinylester resins for bonding.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures; maintain a clean, organized work area.
