Job summary

Germain Yachts Center, A Germain Company, in Naples, FL is seeking a Yacht Bottom Painter to prep, prime and paint the lower hulls of yachts, ensuring durable marine finishes and corrosion protection.

You will work with the team to meet project timelines, observe safety and environmental standards, and maintain tools and workspace. Prior experience with yacht coatings, hand and power tools, and travel lift operations is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with travel lifts and hand/power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare yacht bottoms by sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces for paint adhesion.
  • Apply primers, anti-fouling paints, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups or repairs.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations related to paint application and disposal.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

As a Yacht Bottom Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting the lower hulls of yachts, ensuring high-quality finishes that protect against corrosion and marine growth. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of paint types and application techniques, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Requirements:
  • Prepare yacht bottoms by sanding, scraping, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Apply primers, anti-fouling paints, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform necessary touch‑ups or repairs.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to paint application and disposal.

Qualifications:
  • Heavy equipment operating experience.
  • Previous marina yard work.
  • Travel lift experience.
  • Knowledge of operating, securing, rigging, and de‑rigging a vessel.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated team player.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship available.
