Malvern Panalytical is seeking an Application Specialist focused on XRF to serve as a technical expert across North America. The role involves demonstrations, training, and application development with strong collaboration across Sales, Support, and Marketing.

Preferred candidates hold a Master’s degree in a scientific field (PhD preferred) with 3–5 years in XRF or related spectroscopic instrumentation. Expect ~50% travel and onsite work at the Westborough facility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant scientific field is required.
• 3–5 years of lab, industrial, academic, or product development experience.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with energy dispersive XRF systems or related spectroscopic instrumentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel ~50% across North America.
• Willingness to relocate to MA area or spend 6–8 months in Westborough during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Malvern Panalytical's XRF solutions, especially energy dispersive XRF.
• Support sales by developing technical strategies and delivering product demonstrations.
• Perform pre-sales sample analysis and present findings via reports and talks.
• Provide customer training, commissioning, and on-site support.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Inside Sales to advance opportunities.
• Deliver technical seminars, webinars, and papers; contribute to training of colleagues.
• Create technical content and maintain accuracy in Salesforce records.
• Travel across North America to support customers, conferences, and training.
