Work Hours: 5pm-8pm or 10am-2pm

Core office days: Monday-Friday; Saturday

Location: Huntington

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Greeting patients in a prompt and pleasant manner.
• Promptly escorting patients to X-ray rooms and/or exam rooms.
• Entering data as required for each X-ray in PACS system in a timely manner.
• Performing diagnostic X-rays as requested.
• Interacting and communicating appropriately with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
• Maintaining and ordering X-ray supplies.
• Filing and retrieving X-rays, including OR list.
• Generating copies of films and creating CDs of digital X-rays.
• Using Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
• Erasing cassettes for imaging weekly.
• Following all HIPAA rules.
• Performing other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved school of radiology (two-year course).
• Valid Connecticut and New York X-ray technician licenses. ARRT registered.
• Minimum two years of experience as an X-ray technician preferred.
• Orthopedic and/or neurological experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
