Job summary

Health Advocates Network is seeking a licensed Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray exams in Lancaster, CA. You will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure high-quality images with safety protocols in place.

The role requires 1 year of recent X-ray experience, active CA license/certification, and relevant PSV/certifications. This 13-week contract offers competitive pay and benefits, with a focus on patient care and collaboration with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• Current, valid CA license/certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech.
• Copy of PSV from the licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing patient radiation exposure.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to procedures.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to their needs.
• Inspect and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support patient care.

Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech Duties & Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 yearof recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
