Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Visualization Research and Development Engineer to join the Advanced Visualization Department. You will design and implement cutting-edge visualization solutions for collaborative visualization and national security missions.

The ideal candidate has significant experience in software development, particularly in C# or Python, and a passion for AR/VR technologies. This full-time position is on-site in State College, PA or Reston, VA, and requires U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a related role, particularly in AR/VR.
• Ability to manage complex projects and develop relationships with sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Design applications for effective collaboration for research sponsors.
• Develop APIs for data integration.
• Create tool workflows for visualization of 3D data.
• Lead hardware and software challenge solutions.
