Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Lead Manager for XR connectivity, located in the United States. You will lead a team focused on AI glasses connectivity, architecting XR OS components and guiding cross-team collaboration.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software development, strong leadership, and deep experience with Android, Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and embedded systems. Location flexible within eligible US sites.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent/practical experience; 8 years in software development in embedded/consumer electronics.
• 3 years in technical leadership; 2 years in people management; strong influencing and decision-making.
• Experience with Android, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi protocols and embedded systems; connectivity focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Glasses MicroXR connectivity team for audio and display glasses.
• Architect and vet systems designs within XR OS connectivity; write code to solve complex problems.
• Communicate and implement decisions via architecture documents and code.
• Mentor teammates on architecture, coding standards, and debugging complex interactions.
• Review peer code and drive engineering efficiency and best practices.
