Job summary

Google is seeking a Camera and Photos XR Apps Product Manager to lead first-person capture and media experiences across Google’s XR devices. You will define how users capture, relive, and share their world with hands-free interactions and work with cross-functional teams to translate insights into exceptional XR experiences.

This role drives end-to-end product delivery from concept to launch, balancing user needs with technical feasibility and a focus on privacy and performance across devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and delivery of media creation and viewing apps, translating user behaviors into engaging XR experiences.
• Apply a passion for photography and videography to push the boundaries of how users capture and relive memories in XR. Partner with cross-functional teams to understanding device capabilities and maximize the user experience of our media apps.
• Understand user point-of-view content capture and interaction needs and behaviors, translating insights into engaging and effective XR experiences. Drive a quality-first culture, ensuring that the camera and photos app are performant, stable and battery efficient.
• Guide products from early concepts through launch and iteration, making informed tradeoffs in a fast-evolving and ambiguous space.
• Collaborate deeply with UX and UX Research teams to define delightful, functional, and intuitive XR apps that set the standard for privacy and responsible wearable capture.
