Job summary

Austin Radiological Association (ARA) Diagnostic Imaging, part of Radiology Partners, seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic examinations across multiple modalities in outpatient settings around Greater Austin. You will ensure proper patient positioning, verify requisitions, and adhere to QA protocols while delivering compassionate care.

Required ARRT certification, MRT and CPR/AED, and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • MRT certification by State Medical Board preferred.
  • Current CPR and AED certification required.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clinical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all radiographic examinations and equipment use in assigned area with proper patient positioning and correct technique.
  • Identify each patient and review requisitions for consistencies with the examination ordered.
  • Apply appropriate patient care and recognize essential patient conditions for successful radiologic procedures.
  • Review patient charts for exam referrals/orders and follow special instructions in notes.
  • Maintain QA/QC records as required by ACR, DHHS and credentialing bodies.

Position Summary
  • Demonstrates competency andproficiency, following established protocols, in the performance of:All radiographic examinations and equipment in their assigned work area, proper positioning of the patient, and selection of the appropriate image receptor and radiographic techniques.
  • Identifieseach patient and reviews each patient’s requisition for consistencies to concur with the examination ordered.
  • Appliesappropriate patientcare and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure.
  • Reviews patient chart for exam referral/orders with attention to any special instructions within the exam notes, appointmentnotesor referral request.
  • Performs and maintains all quality assurance/control records required by ACR, theStateDepartment of Health Services and any other credentialing organizations as required by law.
Desired Professional Skills And Experience
  • Education– Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologictechnology.
  • Certificationby the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
  • Certification asMedicalRadiological Technologist (M.R.T.) by theStateMedical Board.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and toestablisheffective working relationships.
