Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams, support orthopedic care, and ensure patient safety across multiple locations in Middle Tennessee.

Qualifications include ARRT certification, Tennessee X-ray Operator license, and a degree in radiologic technology. Prior orthopedic X-ray experience and C-Arm familiarity are a plus; Monday–Friday schedule, equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certified radiologic technologist.
  • High school diploma required; radiologic technology degree/certification required.
  • Tennessee X-ray Operator license required.
  • Certificate/associate/bachelor’s in radiologic technology preferred.
  • Prior orthopedic X-ray experience preferred; C-Arm experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
  • Lift and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Gains patient cooperation by explaining exams and answering questions.
  • Prepare patient and adjust exposure factors for exams.
  • Minimize radiation exposure using shielding and proper techniques.
  • MA duties as assigned.

  • Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs
  • Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
  • Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
  • Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures
  • MA duties as assigned
SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required
  • State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required
Qualifications And Experience
  • ARRT certified
  • Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
  • C-Arm experience is a plus
Travel Requirements
  • Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
