Job summary

Optum is hiring an X-Ray Technologist I to perform primary diagnostic radiographic examinations at our Tri-State locations. You will ensure patient comfort, maintain image quality, and adhere to safety standards while supporting efficient outpatient operations.

Requirements include ARRT certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to use the department’s computerized systems. A sign-on bonus is available for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Proficiency with department computer system and associated devices.

Responsibilities

• Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification.
• Perform radiographic procedures with equipment competency.
• Greet patients, obtain history, and enter data into system.
• Produce x-rays of optimal quality and protect patients from radiation.
• Monitor patient vital signs during examinations.
• Provide coverage as needed for schedule and staffing needs.
• Mentor new hires and maintain CPR certification.
• Operate in compliance with Standards of Care and HIPAA.
