Job summary

Patient First in Richmond, VA seeks a part-time X-ray Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with proper positioning and exposure, while ensuring safety for patients and staff. The role includes processing and documenting X-ray CDs, maintaining equipment, and supporting the x-ray area operations.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, ARRT registration, VA licensure, and strong communication skills; prior clerical and clinical experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Keyboarding experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• One year of clerical experience preferred.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed as Radiologic Technologist in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality x-rays with correct positioning and exposure.
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure.
• Create and document x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines.
• Label images and sleeves correctly; understand and operate x-ray processing equipment.
• Maintain x-ray area paperwork and OSHA-compliant cleaning; restock supplies.
• Respond to physician and nurse requests promptly and courteously.
