Job summary

Patient First is seeking a part-time X-ray Technologist for a new Northern Virginia center in Fredericksburg, VA, opening late Summer / early Fall 2026. Responsibilities include taking quality x-rays, maintaining safety protocols, and accurate record-keeping. Qualifications include ARRT registration and VA licensure, plus clerical and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Keyboarding experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• One year of clerical experience preferred
• One year of clinical experience preferred
• Registered with ARRT
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist by Virginia Board of Health Professions
• Limited Radiologic Technologist must be licensed in chest/thorax, extremities, skull/sinuses, spine and abdomen/pelvis

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure
• Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure
• Create and document x-ray CD copies; label images and sleeves correctly
• Understand x-ray and processing equipment for correct use
• Use and understand the bell system
• File and maintain all x-ray paperwork
• Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs and other equipment
• Use Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen
• Use automated medical records system
• Clean and maintain work area according to OSHA guidelines
• Receive, move, and restock supplies
• Adhere to Patient First policies and procedures
• Address physician and nurse requests respectfully and promptly
• Complete tasks on x-ray and treatment area checklists
• Attend trainings and staff meetings
• Be available as needed for patient care and center operations
• Operate, use, and maintain medical and office equipment
