Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a full-time on-site role with rotational on-call duties. The Radiology team delivers high-quality imaging services for geriatrics, adults, and adolescents, guiding patient care with precise exams and timely communication.

Required is an Associate degree in radiologic science and ARRT registry; BLS recommended. Minimum one year of experience preferred. Join a hospital recognized for rehabilitation excellence and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic science or hospital-based radiology education program.
• ARRT registry is required; American Heart Association BLS certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients and prioritizes exams based on clinical need.
• Reviews orders before beginning exams.
• Reviews patient EMR for safety concerns affecting exams.
• Prepares patient and room; explains procedure and assists during exam.
• Performs clinical evaluation of patients and exams as per physician order.
• Monitors patient and equipment; reports concerns to Imaging Supervisor.
• Delivers images to PACS and Radiologist; ensures dictation receipt.
• Completes daily tasks for department operations.
• Attends department meetings and assists with inventory.
• Maintains center-wide health requirements and competencies.
