Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform radiographic procedures in a fast-paced orthopaedic setting. The role requires ARRT certification, a Tennessee X-ray Operators License, and either a certificate or degree in radiologic technology.

Experience in orthopedic radiography and C-Arm familiarity are preferred. This full-time position involves working at TOA locations across Middle Tennessee with a strong emphasis on patient safety and quality imaging.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology required.
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
• Must be able to lift patients and transport them via wheelchair or stretcher.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; provide explanations of exams; answer patient questions.
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper dressing/undressing, positioning, moving equipment, and adjusting exposure factors.
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by following radiation protection techniques and using shielding.

• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
• Prepares patient for radio graphic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma required
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in radio logic technology required
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• ARRT certified
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
• C-Arm experience is a plus

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
