Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join ColumbiaDoctors’ administrative and clinical support network in the Northeast. You will acquire, process, submit for interpretation, and archive X-ray images while ensuring patient care is handled with attention to safety and comfort.

The role requires NYS license and ARRT certification, current BLS, and strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months relevant X-ray tech experience.
• NY State license and ARRT certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Basic computer skills including EHR, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
• Perform X-rays and general radiological procedures with radiologist oversight.
• Position patient and select imaging options for quality results.
• Observe patient status and coordinate with primary caregivers as needed.
• Assess image quality before radiologist interpretation.
• Assist radiologist with fluoroscopic studies and contrast administration.
• Maintain equipment logs, QA, and compliance records.
• Handle patient records clerically and respond to service calls.
• Support multiple sites with flexible scheduling.
