Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join the ColumbiaDoctors support team. The role involves acquiring, processing, and archiving X-ray images, while ensuring patient care and safety in a collaborative radiology environment across multiple practices.

The incumbent will operate within the X-ray area, perform radiographic procedures, and assist radiologists. A NYS license, ARRT certification, and BLS are required, with a flexible schedule and opportunities for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience.
• NYS License and ARRT certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong de-escalation ability.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, Excel, Word, and email.
• Willingness to cover multiple sites and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, vendors, and staff.
• Perform X-rays and general radiological procedures; review imaging requests.
• Position patients and select imaging options for best results.
• Monitor patient status in X-ray area and respond to changes.
• Assess image quality before radiologist submission.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Assist radiologist with fluoroscopy and opaque media.
• Maintain equipment and logs; perform QA and inspections.
• Handle clerical duties for patient records and archiving.
• Respond to service calls and coordinate coverage across sites.
