Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking an X-ray Tech I for days shift. The position includes performing radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, ensuring patient safety, proper positioning, and accurate imaging.

You will support procedural work, participate in QA/QC, and contribute to student training while advancing toward X-ray Tech II based on skills and experience. Eligible applicants can receive a sign-on bonus; the role is full-time with a 40-hour work week and regular daytime schedule in

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
• Certified Radiology Technologist – ARRT.
• Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body.
• Radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with correct patient positioning and exposure techniques.
• Operate all equipment within the modality and ensure proper immobilization and radiation protection.
• Review patient size, body condition, and suspected pathology before imaging.
• Assist physicians with procedures and document all activities.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Maintain records and notations related to exams.
• Participate in quality assurance/quality control procedures as required.
• Support education and training of students.
