Job summary

AdventHealth in Asheville, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. You will operate radiographic equipment, maintain patient comfort, and document results in the EMR/PACS system.

Required skills include strong knowledge of radiology techniques, radiation safety concepts, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse patients and staff. Prior RT experience preferred; CPR/BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma.
• 1+ year radiology experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Proficiency with radiology software such as EPIC and PACS.
• Maintain licenses and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
• Moves, positions, and operates radiographic equipment safely.
• Perform direct patient care within technologist scope.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and ready; ensure equipment safety checks.
• Notify personnel when inventory is low and assist with modality cross-training.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Perform radiographic imaging with high-quality results.
• Demonstrate accurate patient demographics and examination data in records.
• Maintain documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
• Assist patients during procedures ensuring comfort and privacy.
