Job summary

Southern Surgery Center in Mississippi is seeking a full-time X-ray Technologist to produce high-quality radiographic images in an ambulatory surgery center setting. You will position patients, operate equipment, and ensure safety and comfort throughout each imaging procedure.

You will document procedures in medical records, adhere to radiation safety, and collaborate with physicians and staff to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• Certification and registration with ARRT or equivalent.
• Valid Mississippi licensure to practice as an X-ray Technologist.
• Strong understanding of radiographic procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate radiographic equipment to capture images according to prescribed protocols and physician instructions.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures to protect patients, staff, and self.
• Document patient information, imaging procedures, and observations accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assure clinic runs smoothly.
