Job summary

Georgeregional is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in Radiology. You will produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and comfort, adhering to radiation safety standards, and collaborating with radiologists and staff.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT‑R certification, and a Mississippi license (or eligibility). CT experience and BLS are preferred; hospital imaging background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT‑R registration required.
• Mississippi license or eligibility to obtain.
• CT experience preferred.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Hospital or clinical imaging experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills and patient care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality images.
• Ensure radiation safety and ALARA compliance.
• Operate radiographic equipment and maintain quality control.
• Provide patient education and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Follow infection control and departmental policies.
• Assist with general radiology department duties as needed.

X-Ray Technologist

Reports To: Radiology Director

Position Summary:
The X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions. This role is responsible for producing high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety standards. The technologist works collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to deliver timely and accurate imaging services.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure radiation safety and follow ALARA principles
• Operate radiographic equipment and maintain quality control standards
• Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort during procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies
• Assist with general radiology department duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT–R) required
