• Explains procedures to patient, obtains and records medical history, selects settings, positions patient for optimum imaging.
• Views images to assess quality and forwards for review and interpretation; maintains patient documentation.
• Maintains supplies and a clean work area; reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures patient safety; provides physical and psychological comfort to patient.
• Adheres to workplace safety, exposure control, and infection control practices.
