Job summary

Rebound seeks a Per Diem X-Ray Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and perform diagnostic x-ray procedures across Rebound clinics as needed, including game coverage for local teams. On-site role with occasional travel to Oregon and Washington locations.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, following DR and traditional workflows, safety and ALARA adherence, EMR documentation, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Certification as ARRT including state licenses (WA/OR).
  • BLS required.
  • One year radiologic tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic x-ray films under physician direction.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment per procedures for DR and traditional systems.
  • Adhere to ALARA and safety standards; document in EMR; manage PACS and imaging requests.

Salary Range: $34.05 To $51.04 Hourly

Rebound is seeking a Per Diem X-Ray Technologist to join our team across all Rebound clinics as needed and provide game coverage for the Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Winterhawks!

The X-Ray Tech will operate radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films directed by physicians. This role performs routine diagnostic procedures and special orthopedic views.

Responsibilities:

  • Support an environment that reinforces Rebound’s mission and Core Values of Superior Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, Quality and Recognition.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures on DR and traditional equipment.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
  • Use EMR to properly document actions taken during procedure. Follow all appropriate processes.
  • Select kVp and MAS by adjusting equipment based upon individual patient body size and habitus. Adhere to ALARA standards.
  • Perform quality control on exams to look for proper density and contract, definition, magnification and distortion. Make necessary adjustments based on findings.
  • Maintain x-ray rooms, stock supplies, clean and make minor adjustments or repairs to equipment.
  • Participate in training employees.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform related work as required by departmental needs and duties, i.e. importing or burning CD’s, requesting imaging from other facilities, manage PACS.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
  • Current ARRT registration required, including certifications in Washington and Oregon State.
  • Current health care provider BLS certification.
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area for radiography.
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement.
  • Skill in troubleshooting equipment operation and performing simple adjustments.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions, including communicating clearly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds, and move and coordinate patients lifting in excess of 300 pounds and positions in appropriate positions for optimal image quality.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires ability to handle multiple demands at times.
  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
  • This position is required to be on site at assigned clinical locations 100% of the time.
  • May need to travel between offices in Oregon and Washington.
