Job summary

Rebound-3 is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Aide to join our team in Ridgefield, WA. This role involves assisting the physical therapy staff with various clinical activities, including patient transport and routine care under supervision.

The position provides a mentoring opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean environment, monitoring patient responses during treatment, and performing clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school, GED or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Strong interest in physical therapy/health professions preferred.
  • Ability to complete Rebound Physical Therapy training program.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the environment reinforcing Rebound’s mission.
  • Administer routine patient treatment and care under supervision.
  • Monitor patient's reaction to therapy and report changes.
  • Transport patients to Physical Therapy treatment.
  • Assist in department maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
  • Change linen in treatment areas as needed.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of department equipment.
  • Order therapy supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties.
  • Keep informed of healthcare issues and department changes.
  • Use PT exercise software for patients.
  • Train other PT Aides on duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Aide to join our amazing Physical Therapy team at our Ridgefield, WA location. The Physical Therapy Aide assists various levels of personnel in their related clinical activities. This includes set-ups for patients, transportation, assisting in routine ambulation and therapeutic techniques. The Physical Therapy Aide also maintains inventory of department equipment, linen and supplies, assists with general clean-up, and performs receptionist/clerical duties as needed by the department.

  • BLS certified.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Physical Therapy office experience highly desired.
  • Strong interest in physical therapy/health professions as a career preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete Rebound Physical Therapy Department training program within two months of employment.
  • Effective organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.Ability to prioritize in a climate of changing needs and distractions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Frequent lifting; Must be able to lift, move or assist patients weighing up to 300 pounds or more with help of other staff members using proper body mechanics.
  • Frequent carrying of 20-30 pounds for distances of 100-200 feet.
  • Frequent pushing/pulling, bending, crouching, crawling, squatting, getting in awkward positions and stair-climbing.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range for staff and patient safety.
  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
