Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary

Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. Support administrative and clinical tasks such as patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures compassionately
  • Position patients for imaging procedures
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
  • Process and review images for quality and proper identification
  • Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment following policies and procedures
  • Assist providers with patient treatments as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant if needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1-year related experience. ARRT registration or eligibility preferred. Must be licensed per state regulations. Additional certifications such as Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, EMT, or Paramedic may be acceptable depending on the state.
