The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic digital x-ray images with attention to radiation safety regulations, including proper documentation and techniques. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. May assist in training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Producing high-quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
2. Ensuring patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications and aseptic injection techniques.
3. Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists.
4. Training new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators, if applicable.
5. Troubleshooting the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (computers, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
2. ARRT (R) certification and state license, if applicable.
3. CPR certification.
4. Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
5. For fixed setting roles: completion of Radiology School, ability to work at multiple locations, strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, basic computer knowledge.
6. For mobile setting roles: at least one year radiography or digital x-ray experience preferred.
7. Local travel may be required.
8. COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
9. Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements:

• Exposure to outside weather, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
• More than 50% of the time: sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movements, communication abilities.
• Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, lifting/moving patients.
