Job summary

Element Imaging in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform x-ray procedures and related techniques with professional judgment.

The role requires ARRT (R) certification, Kansas licensure if applicable, and BLS. You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced radiology office.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Registration at time of hire or within 90 days from date of hire.
• Kansas State Licensure as applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of patient care while performing imaging procedures.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform procedures and plan actions based on patient condition and diagnosis.
• Prepares room for procedures including sterile trays, protective equipment, and devices used per protocol.
• Prepares patients for procedures, including screening, instructions, and explaining the procedure.
• Evaluates images for technical quality.
• Maintains records and performs daily QA for equipment as assigned.
• Correlates patient medical history with procedure and ensures documentation is available for Radiologist.
• Assists Radiologist with specialized procedures.
• Follows company policies on attendance, appearance and service and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Upholds a welcoming and compassionate approach toward visitors.

The technologist performs x-ray procedures and related techniques; producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of the Radiologist while exercising professional judgement in performance of services.

Schedule: M, T, W, F (7a-5p)

• Prepares patients for procedures, including screening, providing instructions to obtain desired results, and explain the procedure to the patient.
• Evaluates images for technical quality
• Maintains records and perform daily QA for equipment as assigned
• Correlates patient’s accurate clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by Radiologist
• Knowledge of ACR regulations and requirements
• Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
• Follows established company policies in regard to attendance, appearance and service
• Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information in accordance to company policy
