An X-ray tech (Radiology Technologist) operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex diagnostic exams for physician interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Exams: Prepare patients, position them correctly, and take X-rays safely following established procedures.


• Manage Images: Process films, ensure correct lead markers and data, and transfer images promptly to the PACS system.


• Administer Media: Give contrast media and approved medications within your scope of practice.


• Maintain Safety: Follow strict radiation safety guidelines and use aseptic technique to clean rooms and equipment between patients.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-accredited program with a degree or certificate in Radiographic Technology.


• Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as RT(R) or registry-eligible (must register within one year).


• Licensure: Current license with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (temporary or permanent) upon hire.
